Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown (Nights)
Location: Keene, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients in an adult-geriatric patient population.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
- Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.
- Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
- This position will float to Kingsbury as needed.
- Dress code: Traveler provided professional scrubs (no logos).
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Epic.
- 48-hour shift guarantee (36-hour guarantee not available).
- Block scheduling will NOT be accommodated or considered.
- 5 days or less return-to-office (RTO) accepted.
- Facility does NOT consider local travelers residing within 50 miles.
- Traveler must have their own vehicle (no public transport available).
- Small community setting.
Required Qualifications
- License: New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be active and uploaded with profile).
- Certifications:
- Active American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Active American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
- Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience.
- Cardiac drip experience required.
- Dementia experience/management required.
- Preferred: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) experience strongly preferred.
- EMR Experience: Epic experience required.

- Scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; no scheduling changes will be approved after offer. Late requests may lead to rescinded offers.

Notes for Candidates
- This is a night shift position in a stepdown unit.
- The community offers outdoor recreational activities such as hiking and sightseeing.
- No block scheduling or 36-hour guarantees available.
- Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs with Med Surg, cardiac drip, and dementia management skills who are comfortable working nights in a small community hospital setting.
