Job Summary

As a PET/CT Technologist, you will use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety. You will produce high-quality PET/CT images by interpreting physician orders and selecting appropriate imaging parameters. The role requires flexibility to work in various environments such as outpatient centers, mobile units, or inpatient facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection technique.
• Adhere to radiation safety regulations and proper documentation when working with radioactive materials.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or personnel.
• Troubleshoot scanners, mobile units, and peripheral equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California.
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year.
• High school diploma or GED.
• NMTCB or ARRT certification.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Nuclear Medicine experience.

Notes

• A CT license is not required as the CT performed is for attenuation correction only.
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
