Physical Therapist Travel Job - South Carolina

Location: Dillon, South Carolina

Job Description

• Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data.
• Plan individualized care to meet holistic, age-specific patient needs.
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
• Conduct hourly rounds using service excellence standards.
• Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Use appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Care for central lines, Foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators (if applicable), restraints, and patients at risk for falls.
• Contribute to department performance, including precepting novice employees.
• Support department growth through evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Physical Therapist license for South Carolina (state-specific verification required).
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Immunizations:

  • Proof of MMR (2 immunizations or titer with lab report; no declinations accepted)
  • Proof of Hepatitis B (3 vaccinations or titer with lab report; no declinations accepted)
  • Proof of Varicella (2 immunizations or titer with lab report; no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine required during September-April (medical/religious exemptions considered case-by-case)
• Tuberculosis Testing:

  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) required (first within 1 year, second within 30 days of start)
  • Annual negative PPD or TB questionnaire may be required if 2-step PPD not done within past year
• Other Health Requirements:

  • Fit test for respiratory protection (required within one year of start)
• Professional Documents:

  • Valid driver's license or state ID
  • Social Security card
  • Resume or professional profile (references preferred but not required)
• Background Checks:

  • Comprehensive criminal background check covering last 7 years, updated annually
  • Employment verification for 5 years
• Drug Screening:

  • 10 panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (rapid drug screen not accepted)
• Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually
• Additional: Confirmation of assignment form required prior to start

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Physical Therapy.
