Job Opportunity: Nuclear Med Tech - Radiology

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel

Job Details

Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with 1 weeknight call and rotating 5th weekend call
Unit: Nuclear Medicine (3 exam rooms, hot lab, injection room)
Team: 3 staff members plus 2 full-time Nuclear Med Techs assisting with call rotation
Equipment: Optima 640, GE Infinia, Adac Forte
EMR Systems: Meditech, Fuji Synapse/PACS
Typical Procedures:
- Cardiac/Stress studies
- Renal scans
- Cerebral viability
- HIDA
- SPECT
- Bone Scan
- Shuntogram
- Gastric Clearance
- Pulmonary
- Parathyroid
- MUGA
- Cisternography
Patient Population: ICU, Pediatrics, Trauma, Med-Surg, ER
Dress Code: Black scrubs
Personality Fit: Self-starter, works well independently and in small groups, flexible with schedule (willing to trade call nights, accommodate late or early exam times)

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Kansas
Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
ARRT Certification
BLS Certification

Additional Notes

Candidates without the required certifications and experience will not be considered.
Hospital experience is preferred.
The unit values flexibility and teamwork in scheduling and call coverage.

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
