Description
Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Boone, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8)
- On-call: Typically one week at a time, Monday 5:00 PM through Tuesday 7:00 AM, then 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday
- Call-ins are minimal (1-2 per week)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Skills:
- Moderate Sedation
- Experience with Epic EMR system
Additional Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
- Drug screening (10-panel including marijuana) within 90 days of start, updated annually
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) titers or vaccinations within 5 years
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella titer or vaccinations within 5 years
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Photo for badge (passport style, shoulders up, front facing, plain background) required before start
- Completion of facility-specific orientation and accountability documents

Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for a Cath Lab Tech with at least 2 years of experience, required BLS and ACLS certifications, and proficiency in EPIC EMR. The position includes weekday shifts with on-call responsibilities on weekends.
