Job Opportunity: IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to cover both vascular and neuro IR procedures.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Call required: 1-2 shifts per week plus every 3rd or 4th weekend, possible holiday call
• 30-minute call back time

Core Duties

• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic monitoring
• Maintain sterile technique during procedure setup
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Prepare entry site using sterile technique
• Continuously monitor patient ECG and blood pressure, document and advise physician
• Participate in on-call rotation and be available for emergent procedures 24/7
• Act as code team member, initiate resuscitative measures under physician supervision
• Document procedures and manage inventory control system
• Participate in educational and in-service opportunities
• Instruct radiography students on patient positioning, technique, and equipment use
• Maintain specialization in Neuroradiology and Vascular IR procedures
• Participate in inventory management and performance improvement activities
• Check and prepare patients prior to procedures

Equipment Used

• Canon equipment in Body/Vascular IR rooms
• Siemens Artis Q and Siemens Iconos in Neuro rooms
• GE ultrasound equipment in all rooms

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in West Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
• Recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT (R) certification
• BLS certification
• Above average experience in cerebral angiography procedures
• Above average experience in coiling procedures
• Above average experience in kyphoplasty
• Above average experience in stroke therapy
• Above average experience in carotid stenting

• Must comply with facility submission and travel distance requirements
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Work Hours

• 40 hours per week
• Typical shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with call responsibilities as noted above
