Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Farmington, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Variable, Nights
Hours: 36 hours per week, every other weekend
Call Requirements: None (may occasionally be offered call)
Float Requirements: Yes, to med surg/telemetry
Patient Population: Adults (18+ years)
Unit: ICU
Number of Beds: 4
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Equipment: Hemodynamic monitoring (cardiac, respiratory, temp, ETCO2), glucometer, infusion pumps (Plum Pumps 360, PCA/epidural Sapphire pumps, Kangaroo pumps), telemetry
EMR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Experience with assistance during intubation
Ventilator management experience
Care coordination skills for critically ill patients

Preferred Qualifications

CCRN certification preferred but not required
PACU experience preferred but not required

Personality Fit

Energetic and compassionate
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable with strong attention to detail and quality

Dress Code

Scrubs required
No hoodies or graphic wear allowed
