Travel/Contract ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Shiloh, Illinois

Job Details

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Hours: 36 hours per week, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Start Date: 3-4 weeks from compliance tier, biweekly starts
• Floating: May float within scope to Medical Cardiology or Med/Surg units
• Local Radius Rule: 75 miles
• Pending License: Not accepted
• On-call: Not required
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• First-timers: Accepted
• RTO Restrictions: 7 days off within 13-week contract
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 to 1:2 in a 6-bed ICU
• Supervision: Self-motivated autonomy; intensivist consult via Tele-ICU at times
• Environment: Small ICU with relief charge responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work autonomously with Tele-ICU support.
• Floating to other units may be required within the scope of practice.
• Locals within 75 miles are not accepted for this travel position.

This position offers a challenging ICU night shift role in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital with a supportive Tele-ICU intensivist consult model and a small patient census allowing for close patient care.
