Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Bristol, Tennessee

Job Description

36/36 schedule (36 hours on, 36 hours off)
Every other weekend work
No on-call duties
Floating to other units as needed
Travelers do not administer chemotherapy
Hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without penalty due to census changes
Additional shifts beyond commitment may be offered as overtime and adjusted based on census
Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of Surgical Oncology experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Cons

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
