Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (Nights)
Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must be able to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Local candidates are not allowable; candidates must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility.
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team in patient care and management.
- EMR system used: Cerner.
- Orientation sessions available on multiple dates from February through November.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Intensive Care / ICU / Critical Care / CCU.
- Work history/resume must document 24 months of current ICU or Critical Care experience.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa at time of submission.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required.
- Certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Skills checklist specific to ICU/critical care discipline required.
- Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome; prior travel experience is not required.
- Typical workweek includes 36-40 hours with overtime after 40 hours.
- May be required to work holidays, callbacks, and on-call shifts.
This position is ideal for experienced ICU Registered Nurses seeking a temporary assignment with a critical care focus.
