Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (Nights)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must be able to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Local candidates are not allowable; candidates must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team in patient care and management.
• EMR system used: Cerner.
• Orientation sessions available on multiple dates from February through November.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Intensive Care / ICU / Critical Care / CCU.
• Work history/resume must document 24 months of current ICU or Critical Care experience.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa at time of submission.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required.
• Certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Skills checklist specific to ICU/critical care discipline required.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome; prior travel experience is not required.
• Typical workweek includes 36-40 hours with overtime after 40 hours.
• May be required to work holidays, callbacks, and on-call shifts.
