IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology) - Phoenix, Arizona
Job Details
- Specialty: Interventional Radiology Tech
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona
- Contract Length: 13 weeks minimum
- Shift: Day shifts, 8 hours Monday-Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Call Requirement: None
- Floating: None outside of Radiology
- Weekends: Possible some Saturdays
- Unit: Interventional Radiology
- Rooms: 2 general IR suites, 1 Spine IR room, 2 neuro endovascular suites
- Cases per Day: 5-10
- EMR System: Cerner, DR (PACS)
- Orientation: Floor-specific for Philips Allera, Medrad injector
Procedures & Patient Types
- GI/GJ tubes, Ports, Angiograms, Lumbar punctures, Myelograms, Nephrostomy tubes, Stents, IVC filters, Blood patch
- Neuro endovascular procedures (embolizations, stents, stroke treatment) preferred but not required
- Sedation cases involve 2 RNs and RT scrubbing with MD
- Typical day may include 10-hour days for sedation cases
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS Certification
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
- MRTBE-CRT certification
- Experience working with Level I Trauma patients in a Level I trauma center
- Previous travel experience required for Emergency Department (ED) and Neuro ICU specialties
- Experience with Cerner EMR system
