Description

Surgical Tech - Travel

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel (Clinical - Allied)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Assist in the care of surgical patients during procedures.
Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgery.
Understand the surgical procedure and anticipate the surgeon’s needs.
Ensure quality patient care throughout the operative procedure.
Maintain the sterile field vigilantly.
Follow instructions from Physicians and RNs closely.
Adhere to established policies related to the Operating Room.
Practice Standard Precautions at all times.
Maintain a safe environment in accordance with policies and regulatory agencies.

Physical Requirements

Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Must tolerate long periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking.

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 1 year of experience, including recent experience within the last year.
Possession of a high school diploma or GED certificate.

Specialty Experience

No explicit years of experience stated; assume entry-level to moderate experience acceptable.
