Description

MRI Technician - Travel Position

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical - Allied - Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Position patient on examining table and place specified coil (e.g., head coil, knee coil) near area of interest following Radiologist protocols
Use microphone system to communicate with patient during examination
Enter patient data, scan details, and positioning information into MRI equipment computer
Operate MRI controls to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers
Monitor patient safety and comfort through control room window and closed-circuit TV
Review scan images on video display to ensure quality
Photograph images using camera keyboard commands
Alert staff about metal hazards in magnet room
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist, with experience within the last year
BLS Certification
MR Certification
Advanced proficiency in GE MRI systems
Experience with IV placement and contrast administration
