Job Description

• Provide care to patients undergoing peripheral vascular, interventional, and vascular procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care according to current policies and procedures.
• One weeknight of call and a rotation of call every 4-5 weeks.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma required
• Associate’s Degree required

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Interventional Radiology procedures (RT(R))
• 2 years of current and strong Interventional Radiology Technologist (IRT) experience preferred

Licensure/Certification

• Registered Technologist (RT(R)) with ARRT certification required
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program resulting in certification OR graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist Program and currently registered by ARRT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Prior Travel Experience

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or American Red Cross accepted
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and other certifications may be preferred or required depending on unit specifics (not explicitly required for this role)

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (or within 30 days if past positive TB)
• Negative TB test (Qgold) within 30 days of start or chest X-ray if past positive
• Fit mask (N95) certification within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Immunization proof or vaccination boosters for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
• Photo for badge (passport style, business attire, solid backdrop)
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
• Two professional references from the specialty/unit within 2 years of start

Work Schedule

• One weeknight call per week
• Call rotation every 4-5 weeks

This position requires a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist with strong procedural experience and ARRT certification, ready to work in a travel/contract capacity for approximately 13 weeks in Virginia.
