Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Glendive, Montana

Position Details

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital with 24-hour emergency care, full medical and surgical services, and an attached skilled extended care facility
• Unit: Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, Pediatrics (Peds Critical Care experience preferred)
• Beds: 25 staffed beds
• Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
• On-call: Yes (details to be discussed during interview)
• Floating: Potential to float within scope to long-term care facility
• Block Schedule: Not available
• Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
• Pending License: Accepted with a start date set 4 weeks out
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: 1 request per contract, max 1 week; no RTO during first 2 weeks due to orientation
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes (36-48 hours weekly depending on shift pattern)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Montana
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience working with Adult patients
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID
• 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (required within 30 days of start)
• Primary source verification of state license
• Annual competencies and exams as applicable (medication/pharmacology, specialty competency)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination form during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions accepted)
• Annual skills checklist and orientation safety manual acknowledgment
