Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract

Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse - High Risk Labor and Delivery
• Shift: Day/Night rotation (7a-7p and 7p-7a)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• First-time Travelers Accepted: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call: No
• Floating: Yes, will float within scope to postpartum
• Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (within 100 mile radius)
• Pending License Accepted: Yes
• Return to Office Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AHA/AAP only
• Epic Experience is required
• Additional certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC, EFM) based on unit/job description

Special Clinical Requirements

• Experience with Cesarean Births (C/Births)
• Postpartum Tubal Ligations (PPTL)
• Dilation and Curettage (D and C)
• Cerclage placement and removal
• Waterbirth experience

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Experience with Cesarean Births (C/Births)
• Experience with Postpartum Tubal Ligations (PPTL)
• Experience with Dilation and Curettage (D and C)
• Experience with Cerclage placement and removal
• Experience with waterbirth
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Scheduling and Work Environment

• Guaranteed hours subject to cancellation of up to 3 shifts without penalty
• Floating to postpartum unit as needed
• Weekend work every other weekend required
• Parking available with some costs depending on shift

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Candidates must complete MN DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after contract signing to initiate fingerprinting process
• Modules and training must be completed timely to avoid delays in clearance
• Facility is latex-free; candidates with latex allergy should be aware
