Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Nights)

Location: West Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
Patient ratios approximately 1:3-4 couplets
Patient types include c-sections, vaginal deliveries, and triage
Experience with drips such as magnesium, insulin, and pitocin required
Hospital-provided scrubs
Traveler will be required to float across multiple campuses within the region

Required Qualifications

Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical or Med Surg Tele experience
Experience in mother-baby care required
Experience in Labor & Delivery required
Experience with c-section and vaginal delivery including triage required
Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the last 12 months (no first-time travelers)
Current certifications required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN certification
Valid driver’s license
Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required
Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred
