Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Bridgton, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (10:00 AM - 10:00 PM)
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Weekend Shifts: 10 per contract
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Unit Profile
- Department: Emergency Department (ED)
- Trauma Level: III (Critical Access Hospital)
- Number of Openings: 1
- Float Requirements: None
- Schedule: Must be flexible for days, mids, and nights; no set schedule for number of days per shift
- Equipment: Level I infuser, telestroke
- Electronic Health Records (EHR): Omnicell, Cerner, SBAR
- Patient Population: Acute emergency population including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and code situations
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Skills/Experience Required:
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Phlebotomy
- Continuous IV sedation
- IV vasopressors
- Procedural sedation administration
- Experience with Cerner EHR system
Preferred Experience
- Critical Access hospital experience
- NIH and NRP certifications
Additional Information
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- The role involves stabilizing and preparing patients for transfer for trauma, STEMI, stroke, and code situations
- Must be adaptable to varying shift schedules and patient care demands
This position offers the opportunity to work in a critical access hospital setting with a diverse emergency patient population in a scenic area of western Maine.
