Job Opportunity: RN - ICU Travel

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel Nursing (ICU)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care in the ICU setting.
Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
Uphold professional practice responsibilities and adhere to policies and procedures.
Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism and courtesy.
Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
Understand conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment related to surgical patients.
Individualize patient care based on procedures and anesthesia types.
Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments.
Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Physical Requirements

As defined by Occupational Safety and Health standards.
