Job Opportunity: Interventional Technologist I

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Technician
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

This entry-level position works under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor to achieve initial competencies in delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services. The role supports medical staff in diagnosing, caring for, treating, and monitoring simple to complex conditions in adult and/or pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care under routine or emergent conditions across various care settings (inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic centers, outreach clinics).
Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical outcomes and service goals.
Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures within scope of practice guidelines.
Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet department protocols and accreditation standards.
Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and improve care.

Required Skills & Experience

Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
Certification by ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
