Registered Nurse - MedSurg Ortho

Location: Hutchinson, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

A hospital in central Kansas is seeking Med/Surg Registered Nurses to start as soon as possible. The unit is a 23-bed Med/Surg and Orthopedic surgical unit with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6, occasionally 1:7. Nurses may also float to the Med-COVID unit with ratios ranging from 1:3 to 1:4.

Shift Details

12-hour shifts (7am-7pm)
Every other weekend or every third weekend

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Med Surg nursing experience of at least 1 year within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Information

The team values travelers and treats them as part of the team, with efforts made to accommodate scheduling needs.
Prior travel experience is highly preferred but not explicitly required.

Specialty Experience

MedSurg Ortho nursing experience required (minimum 1 year recommended based on specialty expectations)
