Registered Nurse (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week (12 hours each), 18:45 - 07:15
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Required to float within scope of practice, including to facilities within a 25-mile radius if needed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

This position requires a nurse who can work nights and is comfortable floating to nearby facilities as needed.
The NICU provides care for neonates with a patient ratio of 3:1.
No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this role.
