Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery (Travel)
Location: West Burlington, Iowa
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Deliver high-quality care to adolescent and adult females, as well as neonates.
- Cerner EMR experience is required.
- During times of low census, may be placed on call occasionally; must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour if called in.
Required Qualifications
Licensure
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Iowa.
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
- AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.
Other Requirements
- Primary source verification of professional license within 30 days of start.
- Education verification.
- Drug screen (9 panel) within 30 days of start.
- Skills checklist completed within the last 12 months.
- Pre-orientation computer-based learning (CBL) acknowledgement.
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination accepted.
- MMR vaccine or positive titer (with booster or declination accepted if low/equivocal).
- Fit test for approved respirators completed prior to start.
- Hepatitis B vaccine or positive titer (with booster or declination accepted).
- TB test completed within the past year or appropriate documentation if history of positive test.
- Health statement from a physician within the last 12 months.
- Valid driver’s license or state ID.
- Varicella vaccine or positive titer (with booster or declination accepted).
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (declinations accepted).
- Background check within 30 days of start.
- Adult and child abuse clearance for Iowa.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start.
- Two professional references (one must be from a supervisor).
- SING (state nurse registry) check within 30 days of start.
- Resume submission required.
- I-9 attestation on agency letterhead.
- Color vision screening.
- Contract employee data sheet.
- National Sex Offender (NSO) check within 30 days.
- OFAC check within 30 days.
- OSHA questionnaire completion.
- Influenza vaccine or facility declination (due annually by December 1).
