Occupational Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Department: Outpatient Occupational Therapy
• Patient Load: 9 to 12 patients per day
• Patient Types: General outpatient orthopedics; preference for pediatrics or hand therapy cases. Team includes pediatric-only, hand therapy, neuro, and lymphedema specialists.
• Setting: Outpatient only
• Coverage Area: Marshfield Center

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
• Some flexibility in hours to complete 40 hours per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements

Required Qualifications

• Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) via NBCOT
• Wisconsin state OT license required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in OT including internships; first-time travelers are acceptable
• Preferred certifications/skills: Certified Hand Therapy (CHT), Dry Needling, Pediatrics, Neuro, Lymphedema

Onboarding & Orientation

• Must complete client credentialing process, which includes a credentialing team meeting every 3rd Monday of the month
• Onboarding process can take up to 2 months depending on completion of all requirements
• All onboarding, including Wisconsin state license, must be completed by the 2nd Monday of the month to avoid delayed start dates
• Department orientation includes 2 days of onboarding with manager introduction, computer-based trainings, and shadowing a therapist

• Support staff includes appointment coordinators and rehab aides to assist with scheduling, patient flow, and equipment maintenance
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• If previously employed at this facility, clinicians must have a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
