Occupational Therapist - Inpatient

Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Day shift, variable schedule (self-scheduling not allowed)
Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Yes (comp days scheduled for weekends)

Job Description

• Treat approximately 9 evaluations and 16 treatments per day per therapist
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric ICUs, Level 2 pediatric & adult trauma center, primary stroke center, same day discharge joint program, trauma, neuro, ortho, general med-surg, oncology, pediatric inpatient rehab, adult inpatient rehab, and stroke specialty programs
• Work settings include adult and pediatric acute inpatient, adult and pediatric ICUs, and acute inpatient rehab
• Coverage may be required across all these areas
• Key duties include ADL evaluation, documentation to justify next level of care, strong verbal and written communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills

Required Qualifications

• Occupational Therapist license for Wisconsin (must be completed by the 2nd Monday of the month prior to start)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Must complete client credentialing process before start (can take up to 2 months total from submission to start)
• Prior work with this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap since last assignment
• Must clock in and out at the facility

• Department orientation varies based on skill level
• Rehab aides and COTAs support the department
• Approximately 120-150 patients treated per day department-wide
