Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: Richland, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Variable shifts including days, swings, and nights to cover leaves
- Weekend shifts required on a rotation basis
- Shift lengths vary: 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on coverage needs
- No floating between units
- No on-call required
- Expected patient ratio: 1:1
- Must have Washington state license in hand
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of total travel experience as an MRI Technologist
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- Drug screening: 10 panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria) within 10 years or declination form
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination
- Respirator fit testing required annually (travel only)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
Scheduling and Work Conditions
- Variable shifts with weekend rotation
- No floating between units
- No on-call duties
- Patient ratio 1:1
Additional Notes
- Must complete required facility and regional training modules prior to start (assigned via LMS platform)
- Badge photo required (passport style with neutral background)
- Must comply with state-specific background and registry checks as applicable
- Float policy acknowledgement may be required (candidate may be required to float within a reasonable distance)
This position is ideal for MRI Technologists with at least 2 years of experience, current Washington licensure, and prior travel experience who are flexible with variable shifts including weekends.
