Description

Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift) - Temp Position

Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Independently or in consultation with a physician, administer medications and perform therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing related to the cardio-pulmonary system.
Respond to arrest and emergency situations, providing CPR and life support.
Perform respiratory care evaluations and treatments according to protocols.
Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
Respond immediately to Rapid Responses, arrest, or STAT situations, maintaining artificial airways and performing cardiac compressions.
Set up and maintain oxygen therapy according to protocol.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Previous travel work experience preferred.

Additional Information

Must be willing to work nights.
Facility uses Epic EMR system.
Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered.

Responsibilities Breakdown (Approximate)

25% Respiratory care evaluations and treatments.
25% Medication delivery via aerosol and inhalers.
25% Emergency response including airway management and CPR.
25% Oxygen setup and maintenance.
