Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Ortho/Neuro

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Ortho/Neuro
• Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend Schedule: Every third weekend, same shift hours
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Yes

Unit Information

• Unit: 6 West Ortho/Neuro
• Number of Beds: 34
• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4.5 patients
• Patient Types: Stroke, seizures, MS exacerbation, hip fractures, post-surgical back surgeries, hip/knee replacements, craniectomy, overflow medical-surgical patients
• Equipment Used: Pyxis, Alaris pumps, Novoglucometers
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Acute care nursing experience
• NIHSS certification
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Reporting Location: Park in yellow line parking on the East side of the building, enter through main entrance, take elevators to 6th floor, turn left off elevator, first hall on left
• Education Modules: May be required prior to first day

This position is ideal for an experienced RN with acute care skills in ortho/neuro who enjoys a team-oriented environment and is comfortable working a 12.5-hour day shift with weekend rotation.
