Description
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care on a Trauma Surgical Unit specializing in acute care trauma and surgical patients.
- Patient ratio approximately 1:6.
- Care includes trauma, orthopedic, and urology patients.
- Collaborate with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and various surgical specialists.
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
- Work schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required.
- Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week.
- Clinical, patient-facing role.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
- Parking available.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry within the last year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Additional Information
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
- This is a clinical, patient-facing position.
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
