Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care on a Trauma Surgical Unit specializing in acute care trauma and surgical patients.
Patient ratio approximately 1:6.
Care includes trauma, orthopedic, and urology patients.
Collaborate with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and various surgical specialists.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
Work schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required.
Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week.
Clinical, patient-facing role.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
Parking available.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry within the last year.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Additional Information

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
This is a clinical, patient-facing position.
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
