Description
Registered Nurse - Urgent Care
Location: Juneau, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
This position functions within the Urgent Care Department to assist patients and medical staff in an ambulatory care setting. The role involves supporting the overall operation of the clinic, maintaining skills and certifications, participating in training and staff meetings, and adhering to infection control policies. The nurse will provide clinical services, lead clinic staff, maintain medication inventory, ensure quality control, document care accurately, assist providers, and communicate effectively with other departments.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nursing license in Alaska
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of clinic experience, including urgent care experience
- Clinic experience within the last year

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk or hear

Additional Information
- Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after fingerprint processing
- Applicants must live at least 50 miles away from the work location
- No housing or flights provided by the employer
