Description
Job Opportunity: OB RN (Labor, Delivery, Postpartum)
Location: Machias, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide holistic, individualized nursing care on the OB unit, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients.
- Perform general and unit-specific clinical skills independently.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under charge nurse supervision.
- Manage supplies and equipment.
- Promote teamwork with physicians and other hospital personnel.
- Adhere to nursing standards, hospital policies on confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and support organizational mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
- Minimum 2 years of Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) experience, including experience within the last year
- Acute Care experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE
