Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Fort Mohave, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Labor & Delivery specialty to work a PM shift in a hospital with a 9-bed unit focused on Labor, Post-Partum, and Neonates. The unit includes a Level 1 trauma center and a well-baby center. The role involves caring for laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns, including stabilization of critical newborns for transfer.

Work Schedule

• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other weekend required (Saturday/Sunday days and Friday/Saturday nights)
• No call requirements

Unit & Patient Information

• Unit size: 9 beds
• Patient ratios vary based on acuity
• Patient population: Labor, Post-Partum, Neonates
• Equipment used: IV pumps, epidural pumps, fetal monitoring equipment, fetal doppler, syringe pump
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): Med Host and Centricity

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients, Neonate patients, Post Partum care, and Nursery care
• Experience in stabilization of critical newborns for transfer
• Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • STABLE certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Centricity EHR system
• Team player with a flexible schedule
• Experience working in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

• Term and late preterm indications such as gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes

Dress Code

• Scrub color: Black
• No unacceptable attire specified

Additional Notes

• No float requirements
• No call requirements
• Must be willing to work every other weekend as specified
