Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Fort Mohave, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Labor & Delivery specialty to provide care in a hospital setting with a 9-bed unit focused on labor, post-partum, and neonatal patients. The position involves working a PM shift with 36 guaranteed hours per week and requires working every other weekend.
Unit Information
- Unit Size: 9 beds
- Patient Population: Labor, Post-Partum, Neonates
- Patient Ratios: Vary based on patient acuity
- Equipment Used: IV pumps, epidural pumps, fetal monitoring equipment, fetal doppler, syringe pump
- Electronic Health Records (EHR): Med Host and Centricity
Work Schedule
- Shift: PM
- Weekend Requirement: Work every other weekend (days on Saturday/Sunday, nights on Friday/Saturday)
- Call Requirements: None
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse License (RN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) Intermediate or Advanced
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Experience with labor, postpartum care, well baby care, and stabilization of critical newborns for transfer is required
- Preferred: Experience with Centricity EHR system
Common Diagnoses/Treatments
- Term and late preterm indications including gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
Additional Information
- No float requirements
- Team player with a flexible schedule preferred
- Dress code includes black scrubs; certain attire is unacceptable (not specified)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- AWHONN certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- STABLE certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in stabilization of critical newborns for transfer
- Postpartum nursing experience
