Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Athens, Tennessee

Unit and Facility Overview

Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Trauma Level: 3
Number of Beds: 5 currently, expanding to 10 beds soon
Patient Population: Adults and Geriatric (No pediatrics)
Patient Ratios: 2-3 patients per nurse
Equipment Used: Ventilators, BiPAPs, drips, glucometers, etc.
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Medhost
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: None

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: 23
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: DKA, CVA, CP, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, psychiatric (suicidal ideation), etc.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Information

Orientation: Bi-weekly on Mondays
Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear is not acceptable

Notes

Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
Client may require additional certifications beyond those listed.

This position is an urgent backfill with immediate start availability.
