Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (PCU Nights)
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nights
- Shift Options: 36 or 48 hours per week
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Weekend Requirement: As needed, rotating
- Float Requirement: Yes
- On Call Requirement: None
- Block Scheduling: Case by case
- Unit Size: 55 beds
- Specialty Experience: Cardiovascular experience required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Documentation & Compliance Requirements
- Background Check: 7-year check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Education Verification: Must verify highest level of education
- Fingerprinting: Required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
- Physical Exam: Within 12 months of start
- Fit Mask Test: Within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually
- Immunizations/Vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start

- References: Not required for clearance but 2 professional references recommended for travel/per diem acute care
- Skills Checklist: Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
- Work History Verification: 7 years required
