Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Float (Nights)
Location: Saginaw, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
This position involves providing integrated neurological/neurosurgical and trauma critical care using the nursing process and broad nursing knowledge. The role requires travel among multiple facilities within the region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs.
- Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care based on patient needs.
- Evaluate patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if care goals are met.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement total patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience.
- Training and experience in MS/PCU/ICU/Telemetry units.
- Active Michigan RN license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- Recent traveler experience is highly preferred.
- Work history and skills checklist relevant to specialty, current within 1 year.
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
Additional Information
- Casual employees must be available for at least 48 hours per month, including 24 weekend hours and 24 holiday hours annually.
- Scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application; requests after an offer may result in rescinded offers.
- Facility may consider local candidates within a 50-mile radius for contracts up to 13 weeks.

- Prior travel experience is highly preferred but not explicitly required.
- This role supports a level II trauma center with comprehensive stroke and specialty care services.
