MRI Tech Position

Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Employment Type: Clinical - Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Instruct patients regarding magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
• Prepare, position, and manipulate patients to ensure proper placement for imaging.
• Select appropriate imaging techniques and calibrate console and peripheral hardware as needed.
• Obtain images, produce film records and backups, and transfer from desktop workstation.
• Inspect images for quality and completeness.
• Perform quality assurance on MRI equipment and laser camera.
• Conduct physical inventories and maintain clinical supplies.
• Adhere to department policies, quality assurance programs, safety standards, HIPAA, and compliance regulations.
• Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid MRI Technologist license in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• At least one 13-week travel assignment completed
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
