Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Marquette, Michigan

Job Description

• Work at a 225-bed specialty care hospital with multiple specialized institutes including Heart & Vascular, Cancer, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine & Weight Management, Women's Health, and Pediatrics.
• The facility offers premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services.
• Located in the central region of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the largest community in the area and home to Northern Michigan University.
• Orientation is held bi-weekly.
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in the Emergency Department (ED), with at least some ED experience within the last year.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training, PALS.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Information

• Attendance is strictly monitored:

  • Second absence results in a formal warning.
  • Third absence may lead to contract termination unless prior agreement is made with unit leadership.
  • All absences must be made up to maintain contracted hours.
• Early termination fees will not be covered if termination is due to attendance or professional conduct issues.
