Description

Registered Nurse (Surgery) - Travel Assignment

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinical care tailored to the patient population on assigned units. Responsibilities include coordinating and implementing patient care while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency consistent with unit standards. The RN demonstrates professionalism, effective communication, and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families.


Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
  • Weekend requirement: Yes
  • On-call requirement: Yes
  • Start Date: ASAP

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in Surgery
  • Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
  • Clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment
  • Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations
  • Requires prolonged standing, walking, and physical effort to position, push, or transfer patients and equipment
  • Requires reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
  • Normal or correctable hearing and vision, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination
