Description

Registered Nurse - Women's Services (Travel)

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide patient care including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate across disciplines for patient care coordination including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
  • Provide patient and family education tailored to age, culture, and condition.
  • Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Circulate during C-sections and assist physicians during deliveries.
  • Care for surgical patients during recovery.
  • Attend neonatal station post-delivery and assess neonates.
  • Maintain fetal monitoring certification and attend STABLE certification if offered.
  • Identify and communicate necessary information to physicians and patients.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Wyoming.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Experience in Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and LDRP (Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum).
  • Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Current STABLE certification.
  • Current AWHONN certification.

Additional Information

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
  • Candidate must maintain fetal monitoring certification every two years.
  • May be required to assist in multiple roles within women's services and related units depending on census.

Experience Requirements

  • Specialty experience: Minimum 2 years in relevant nursing specialty (Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, L&D).
