Description
Registered Nurse – Med Surg GCU
Location: Kearney, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts (0600-1830 or 1800-0630)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Cannot request more than 1 holiday off during contract (typically May-Sept and Nov-Jan)
Floating Requirement: First to float to PCU for a Med Surg Unit assignment unless telemetry trained
Patient Ratio:
- Maximum 1:6
- Day shift Monday-Friday typically 1:5
Unit Type: General Med-Surg including ortho, neuro, and spine patients
Number of Beds: 23
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS (AHA or ARC) certification
- ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience
- Specialty: Med Surg GCU
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard Med Surg experience required
