Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Brandon, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Level 3 NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
Beds: 36
Staffing: 2 Respiratory Therapists per shift (day and night)
Patient Ratios: 2 therapists cover the 36-bed unit during peak volumes
Equipment: Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide, Vapotherms
Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech and NeoNotes

Job Description

Provide respiratory therapy care in a Level 3 NICU setting
Attend high-risk deliveries
Manage ventilators including conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
Administer surfactant and nitric oxide
Perform blood gas acquisition and interpretation

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Experience in an inpatient setting
ACLS certification
BLS certification
NBRC certification
NRP certification
PALS certification
Assessment of Respiratory Therapist competency or understanding of USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk
