Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Brandon, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Level 3 NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
- Beds: 36
- Staffing: 2 Respiratory Therapists per shift (day and night)
- Patient Ratios: 2 therapists cover the 36-bed unit during peak volumes
- Equipment: Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide, Vapotherms
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech and NeoNotes
Job Description
- Provide respiratory therapy care in a Level 3 NICU setting
- Attend high-risk deliveries
- Manage ventilators including conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
- Administer surfactant and nitric oxide
- Perform blood gas acquisition and interpretation
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
- Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NBRC certification
- NRP certification
- PALS certification
