Job Opportunity: Technologist - Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray (Days)

Job Description

• Perform a wide variety of technical radiologic procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
• Facilitate diagnosis by applying appropriate skills.
• May have supervisory or instructional responsibilities as assigned.
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with OSHA and departmental policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
• Attend annual mandatory education including blood borne pathogens and infection control.
• Maintain department competencies as required.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
• 10/12 hour shift requests will NOT be considered; must work posted schedule.
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during assignment; RTO requests after profile upload will not be approved.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiologic Technology, with at least 1 year current experience.
• Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography certification.
• Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License (must have license in hand or proof of application; license will not be pended after offer).
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse strongly preferred.
• Must have excellent patient care skills.
• Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
• Must provide:

  • Work history.
  • Skills checklist relevant to X-Ray Technologist.
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.

Additional Notes

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
• Orientation is 8 hours, non-billable.
• Holiday and overtime pay multipliers apply.
• The facility is a teaching hospital with a full continuum of medical specialties and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department offering 24-hour service.
