Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with weekend rotation

Job Description

Seeking a night shift Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide adult respiratory care. The role involves managing nebulizers, oxygen therapy, and ventilator support. No on-call duties are required.


Unit Information

  • Adult respiratory care unit
  • Typical procedures: Nebulizer treatments, oxygen administration, ventilator management
  • Dress code: Olive green tops and black bottoms
  • Weekend rotation required
  • No call responsibilities

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Respiratory Therapist (RT) License/Certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

Preferred Qualifications

  • ICU, NICU, or PICU experience is a plus
  • Additional certifications such as NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) are preferred but not required for this adult position

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Current NBRC certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
