Registered Nurse (OP Infusion)
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
Seeking an RN for outpatient infusion services. The department operates Monday through Friday with mostly 8-hour shifts (typically 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM). No on-call responsibilities. The unit sees approximately 50 patients per day, staffed with 6-7 RNs daily.
Responsibilities
- Infusion of chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood products, iron, and fluids
- Administration of various injections
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS (AHA) certification
- ONS/ONCC certification preferred (high preference for chemo-certified nurses)
- Must pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% (open book, resources provided)
- Valid driver’s license required at time of application
- Compliance with fingernail policy: artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
Additional Information
- Candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility and cannot be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any related healthcare system within the radius
- Shift times may vary but are within the department’s operating hours of 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- No prior travel experience required
