Physical Therapist - Home Health (Travel/Contract)
Location: Valrico, Florida
Job Summary
Seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel contract in home health. The role involves home visits and occasional visits to care facilities. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional weekend call approximately every 5-6 weeks.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Patient Load & Productivity
- Average 5-6 patients per day
- Expected weekly productivity: 30 units
- Daily travel between 30-100 miles
Job Details
- Types of cases: Start of Care, Follow Ups
- Visits primarily in patient homes, occasional facility visits
- Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from home clinic
- Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate (patient home to patient home)
- Guaranteed hours: No, but options to float to nearby clinics if patient census is low
- EMR systems used: HomeCare HomeBase, Oasis, Outlook, Teams
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Florida
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience working with adult patients in a Home Health setting
- BLS certification
Additional Information
- On-call: Occasional, approximately every 5-6 weeks
- Weekend requirements vary; discuss during interview
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Position may convert to permanent after contract
