Job Opportunity: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Nights)

Location: Calais, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 4 weeks

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care consistent with state standards. The nurse must communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team to develop patient care plans. Maintaining confidentiality and supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization is essential.

Required Qualifications

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine, or authorization to practice pending licensure by endorsement
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within six months of hire date
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred
Excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
Ability to function independently and act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations
