Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse with Mother/Baby experience
Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7 AM - 7 PM), weekdays, every other weekend off (EOW)
Option to flex to a 4th shift if needed/available
Overtime available after 48 hours
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
Locals accepted at the same rate
Travel experience preferred but not required

Required Qualifications & Compliance

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Maternal-Newborn experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Notes

Candidates must bring hard copies of all health documents on the first day
Medication/pharmacology competency exams and other competency exams required as applicable
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card preferred but not required
Prior travel experience preferred but not mandatory
