    Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist - Inpatient Rehab

    Location: Napa, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract

    Job Description

    • Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
    • Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
    • Recent Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year

    Certifications (as applicable)

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification (if applicable)
    • Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and facility requirements

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
    • Education verification required for all candidates
    • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
    • References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
    • Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates worked
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
    • Immunizations and health documents:
      • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination
      • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
      • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
      • COVID vaccine or declination
    • Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use, medically cleared annually (travel only)
    • Fit mask testing (N95 or equivalent), updated annually (travel only)

    Competencies and Training

    • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
    • Specialty-specific competency exams and training modules required prior to start and annually thereafter
    • Completion of required regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS platform (WorkRamp) prior to start and annually
    • Epic system training modules may be required depending on assignment location and role (primarily for Per Diem and certain regions)

    Additional Requirements

    • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
    • Social Security card (for certain state-specific requirements)
    • E-Verify attestation
    • Compliance with float policy: may be required to float to other nearby facilities within reasonable distance
    • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background may be required
